I am genuinely glad to acquaint you with the activities of JSC “Uralmekhanobr”, the Ural scientific research and design institute for beneficiation and mineral dressing. It has been one of the leading sectoral institutes of the Ural region for 82 years.

JSC Uralmekhanobr currently cooperates effectively with the largest machine-building, mining and smelting companies of Russia, the   CIS countries, Belgium, the People's Republic of China, the Islamic Republic of Iran. We actively collaborate with universities, sectoral R&D institutes and institutes of the Russian Academy of Sciences.  This interacting process enables us and our partners to gain additional experience, knowledge and connections at the intersection of which there appear new approaches and growing points.

Many works performed in the institute were assigned the classification code “for the first time” in the world, the USSR and Russia. Practically all these technologies are materialized into operational factories, plants, mines, milliards of tones of removed and processed ore and finished products. Across the generations the specialists of Uralmekhanobr have managed not only to hand down and preserve ideas, developments, traditions and the spirit of our great predecessors but also to spin the Institute into a new stage of development. The modern Mekhanobr has outgrown the bounds of a beneficating institute of the Soviet period. Nowadays it is a complex scientific research and design institute engaged in mining, beneficiation, metallurgy, chemistry and standardization. The Quality management system of the institute has been approved and certified by TUV NORD CERT Co. We design turn-key enterprise projects implementing all the stages from study of material composition of minerals and flowsheet designs to detailed engineering and obtaining design parameters of facilities. According to the estimates of our business partners and leading Russian scientists of ore dressing, JSC Uralmekhanobr’s fleet of research and laboratory equipment is one of the best in Russia. The staff is comprised of 400 project engineers, scientists and specialists in different branches of knowledge, including one doctor of engineering, 33 candidates of science and post-graduate students. The Institute has opened two manufacturing subsidiaries: in the town of Gay (the Russian Federation, Orenburg region) and Kustanay (the Republic of Kazakhstan).
